Lord Robert Fellowes was born in 1941 at Sandringham House in Norfolk. He was dedicated to serving the royal family and the country throughout his life. He went to Eton College, one of the most prestigious schools in England, and later joined the Scots Guards in 1960.
After his time in the military, he worked in banking but eventually joined the Royal Household in 1977 as an Assistant Private Secretary. Over the years, he rose through the ranks to become the Private Secretary to the Queen, a position he held for 20 years. His hard work and loyalty were recognized by Queen Elizabeth II, who awarded him the Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal.
In addition to his public service, Lord Robert was a loving husband and father. He married Lady Jane Fellowes in 1978 in a joyful ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Princess Diana, who was not yet married to Prince Charles at that time, was a bridesmaid at their wedding. Lord Robert and Lady Jane had three children together: Eleanor, Alexander, and Laura Fellowes. Despite the challenges of royal life, their family remained close and supportive of one another.
