Christina Applegate Considers Retirement: A Reflection on Her Journey

Christina Applegate, the beloved actress known for her roles in shows like “Married with Children” and Netflix’s “Dead to Me,” may be stepping away from the spotlight soon. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Applegate hinted that the recent SAG Awards may have been her final performance as an actor. At 51 years old, Applegate has faced her fair share of challenges, including a recent diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS).

Accompanied by her 12-year-old daughter Sadie Grace, Applegate gracefully walked the red carpet at the gala on February 27. She used a cane bearing the letters “FU MS,” signifying her resilience and determination in the face of adversity.

Despite garnering critical acclaim and securing her sixth nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series for her role in “Dead to Me,” it seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing much of Applegate on screen in the future. She admitted, “It’s my last awards show as an actor probably, so it’s kind of a big deal,” before the awards show.
