Many Redditors had talked about their own weddings, and the weddings they attended. They have shared the stories of the ruined weddings they witnessed.

FATHER-IN-LAW CALLED BRIDE WRONG NAME

A deleted user shared her own wedding story where her father-in-law had ruined. He constantly called her the name of his son’s ex-girlfriend’s name in his speeches, and when he was talking to OP.

MESSED UP RECEPTION

Redditor, u/Enjolras1781 shared a story from the wedding of their friend. OP’s friend had married in Vermont, in a hay field. There were more than 300 people in the wedding. As OP stated, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., everybody got drunk.

As people got drunk, the various friend groups of the couple started to creatre conflicts. OP shared, “Utter chaos, multiple 911 calls, police cruisers from three different departments, and a couple of ambulances later, we had been given the order to disperse.”

GROOM’S SPEECH

Redditor, u/Cant_Spel shared, OP attended to their brother’s wedding. Then explained that their brother was a nice, super friendly guy who likes by everyone. After the drinks were served, the brother started to his speech, after the best men. He thanked everyone for attending, and it was time for thanking to parents and grandparents.

As he thanked everyone, he concluded his speech as, “God bless the mashed potatoes!” And then jumped to the dance floor. The food served in the reception was “a good prime rib meal, and some of the best chipotle pepper mashed potatoes ever.” as OP shared.

OP SAVED THE WEDDING

Redditor, u/karmar13 shared that she attended to a wedding as the flower girl, she was a child at that time. Then explained as, “the bride and her company show up at the wedding. The bride had her gown, the flower girl (me) had her little dress, and the seamstress would deliver the bridesmaids’ dresses at the wedding venue.”

But the dresses of bridesmaid never came. The wedding party was thinking about what to do, and seven-year-old OP suggested that they could wear the choir robes, which bride loved the idea, and the wedding was saved.
