Every day, millions of pets are abandoned, but it is also the start of a wonderful narrative with a happy conclusion on rare occasions. Such was the situation with Porg, a particularly unusual kitty. The destitute were dumped in a cardboard box on a woman’s doorstep in the Chicago suburbs.
When the woman opened the box, she was shocked to see an abandoned kitten inside. The kitten was so dirty and small, weighing over just 1 pound. He also had a large wound on his neck and huge big eyes. She immediately rushed the kitten to her vet ER for medical attention and examination.
The kitten was initially quite shy but just in a short time, he became more friendly and playful. The vet Elise Hall decided to adopt the little kitten until he is ready to find him a forever home. She named him Porg after a Star Wars character who also has giant eyes.
However, Elise quickly observed that he wasn’t normal: combing or scratching his ears or neck created big scratches on his skin, and after more research, they discovered he had Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a hereditary illness. Porg wears garments a lot for this reason. Clothing has aided in the protection of his skin and the improvement of his comfort.
Porg is an adorable, playful and funny kitten who has found a great home. He instantly became a member of the family, and Elise has no intention to let him go. His big eyes give him a unique look that makes people instantly fall in love with him.
